Justin Bieber baby claim: texts suggest it was all a scam
Woman who claims teen pop star made her pregnant sent texts urging friend to hide the truth
TEENAGE pop sensation Justin Bieber, whose crown appeared to be slipping after he was accused of fathering a child by one of his fans, may be off the hook thanks to a series of indiscreet texts from the woman at the centre of the row.
Fans of the Canadian singer, known as Bieliebers, were heartbroken when Mariah Yeater claimed that her young son, Tristyn, now four months old, was the result of a one-off liaison with the helmet-haired hearthrob in October 2010.
She said she met Bieber, who was just 17 at the time, backstage after a show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Yeater claimed he told her he was a virgin before dragging her into a bathroom and announcing he wanted to “fuck the shit out of her”.
However, her story may have unravelled after gossip website TMZ got hold of several text messages that suggest that Bieber is not the father after all.
It seems 20-year-old Mariah sent a message to a friend yesterday asking him to delete any messages from her mother that indicate someone other than Bieber is the father. She also appeared to promise the unnamed friend a cut of any pay-off from Bieber if he did so.
TMZ also says it has another text – sent from Mariah to the same friend – indicating that someone called Robbie is the real father. The text reads: “Would you please stress to Robbie how important it is for him to be in his son’s life?”
Amid much rejoicing among the Beiliebers, the singer’s lawyer Howard Weitzman told TMZ: “”This information proves Mariah Yeater fabricated the story.” ·
